Speed and Distance issues

So I don't understand why my mavic never goes faster than 30 mph I even disabled the obstical avoidance and have it set in sport mode, I even have issues getting any distance going farther than 1/4 mike before I get messages that the signal is weak and to adjust antennas even when its correct???? I see people getting 4 miles out and speeds up to 50 mph

It all depends on the area. If you live in a windy area (may not be windy on ground but certainly at altitude) the drone will struggle to reach 40mph.

In terms of reception, anything that throws off signals can interfere. Cell towers, WiFi hotspots, your phone or tablet wifi, you name it. In fact, I was able to fly 19,646 feet with 3 bars remaining for remote and HD in a massive open area, But only managed 1000 feet in the city before reception got very weak.

Are you on the latest firmware and everything? Also keep in mind that 40mph is max speed. I usually average 30-25mph.
