So I hope HFMan @HFMan joins us here!

I have a Motorola Talkabout so I hope that will serve as "pinger" and receiver. I have no idea how to make it generate the required tone. In Canada GMRS is unlicensed (unlike the US).

How does one get at the GPS NMEA (or similar) data to get it to the TBeacon?

I didn't see this request till now! I finally have my TBeacon properly mounted on the Mavic, I'll post pics here. No, I don't have it tapped into the Mavic GPS, but the Proximity Mode on the TBeacon is all I need.

Could you give us your manifest and a description in use?

- the a/c config (added stuff (electronics, battery))?
- the ground stuff (what radio)?
