Virtual sets and backgrounds

noticed a few you toobers are using quite dynamic and modern 3D looking backgrounds and chroma key

how do they do it?

which is the best program? are there any decent free ones?

anyone use something like this in their productions?

"Youtubers" who do this usually have behind the scenes become large scale production ventures even if they keep the original style their audience expects and it's not really visible. With the budgets and professional production tools and teams that match.

It mainly depends on your recording software and post production vs. live insert.. for example if you have a Tricaster (expensive) it comes with some Virtual Sets, so does Wirecast Pro. I think VidBlaster can do it as well.. Most higher end software have 3rd party templates that you can align with to do VS.. There's some recording software such as OBS, but you'll have to master it to do the virtual sets..
