I have had this problem for a couple of years with my Mavic 2 Zoom. Initially, it was infrequent but now it happens a majority of the time sometimes requiring reboot of drone and Smart Controller three times before the camera image shows up. OSD info shows up but the camera image is blank...

I also have a smart controller. It can be charged via a USB port in the car or via a USB charger plugged into a cigarette lighter port. It will probably charge more slowly than the 3 Amp DJI wall charger than came with the Smart Controller.

I would say the dedicated DJI car charger is better. Much more efficient and faster charging than an inverter + wall charger. I rarely use my inverters now that I have dedicated 12V chargers.

The DJI 12 VDC car charger provides 4.54 Amps while the 120 VAC wall charger provides 3.53 Amps. My RV has both 12VDC and 120 VAC outlets which I use to full advantage by charging using both my car chargers and wall chargers.

You may have noticed that the car charger charges a battery faster than the wall charger. I often use mine to charge batteries on the way to the field because I often forget to charge them before leaving. I bought two car chargers thinking I could charge two simultaneously. Wrong. And I can’t...

Ah, a better center of gravity with that lanyard attachment. I modified an Inspire one shoulder lanyard for a balanced result. But not ideal for a quick grab and go.

Along with the brighter screen it will continue to function in hotter and colder environments than a phone or tablet. And it is quicker to deploy than a controller/phone combo. In addition, it has an HDMI out port that provides 1080p.

There's a CoE earthen Dam nearby and drone flights are prohibited near it yet there is a public highway on top of it. You can't fly a Mavic there but you can drive a multi-ton semi truck over it. Also, CoE prohibits Drones anywhere near the lake because it's a water supply yet anyone can take...

To repeat the OP's unanswered question (same question I have): "Also which Thermal lens FOV would you choose /be best for flying a drone, yet still have tight enough FOV to ID critters/people at normal flying range maybe 250 ft up with 300-600FT out front?"

Same thing happens on my Mavic 2 Pro
