It is possible that the problem is not with the camera but with the compression algorithm used in the Mavic. I can see in the image posted by maikm clouds of pixelation in the tree branches. Please do not use jpg format. Take images in raw and check if the problem persist.
Had the Mavic for a month and done a total of about 2hrs flight. Never done or needed a calibration. Perfect performance so far including indoor flying.
In ideal conditions illumination, or in this case power flux, drops as the square of the distance, thus increasing four times the power will allow at best to reach twice the distance.
The decibel scale is logarithmic and therefore it describes a multiplicative change in power.
3 decibels corresponds to a x2 change in power, 6 decibels is a x4 change in power, 10 decibels is a change of a factor of 10, etc.
The change in Transmitter Power of 6 dBm between ( EIRP ) FCC: ≤ 26...
To me the obvious solution to allow the use of large tablets, like the Apple iPad Pro(9.7"), iPad Air or any tablet that is less than 8" wide, is for Mavic to allow PORTRAIT mode display in DJI GO 4.
In portrait orientation tablets less than 8" wide, will nicely fit inside the controller arms...
Hi guys, is there any information about using an iPad Air with Mavic's RC?
Can an iPad Air in portrait orientation be fitted in the RC?
I think it would fit but:
Would DJI GO work in portrait orientation ?
Great job, congratulations.
One aspect regarding these long distance test is that to minimize risks flying a drone a long distance, and to keep inside the law I would suggest to leave the drone in a relatively high place connected to the controller but in a static mode and then move away with...
Not really because the signal decays as the square of the distance not linearly as you have assumed. Thus an increase of factor of 4 in the emitted power (6db) implies a factor of 2 increase in distance.
