Not by law. Not yet. But things are going to change very quickly. My hope is that changes will focus on safety and responsible flyers recognise that. And anyone who's still upset about having their 'rights' interfered with, take a tent and their drone up into grizzly bear country and fly there.
I'm pleased YOU get it. It should never have been described as a privilege. That simply confused some people. We've all been flying (most of us responsibly) in a short window of unregulated opportunity. Regulation IS coming and when it makes our activities safer and potentially saves lives then...
