Can't imagine why, $30-$60 premium. What do you suppose the loss rate was??
I fly over our area because:
1. From our back yard we have beautiful views of Arizona sunsets over the White Tank Mountains to our west.
2. I have to drive at least 4 miles to the nearest park I can launch from and 8 miles out into the desert.
Our home is insured by Farmers here in AZ and non-commercial drone coverage is included in our policy.
Since we carry a $1000 deductible our MA won't be covered so a little whining to DW will be the replacement cost!
I use the Anafi mod and have no performance or handling issues. I haven't worked up the courage to send them out a mile or more but have been flying them around the neighborhood without problems or complaints.

I finished modding a set of Anafi propeller blades to fit Mavic Smart hubs that have the same attachment as the Air. Flew it last night and no vibration or motor warnings in Sport Mode.
For awhile I will keep them close as I get more comfortable with them.

If you would like to know where local airports deciding what is a risk to air traffic will go do a Google search on the Sedona AZ Airport Drone No Fly notice. That airport is several hundred feet above the surrounding terrain.
