Aircraft disconnected repeatedly with iPhone X and public beta 3.
However the controller stays connected and all it takes is killing and launching Go again. Not convenient but not putting the drone in jeopardy either.
The video is not lost then ? I mean the video the drone is recording when the gimbal reboots ?
Happened to me two or three times under windy conditions. Scary as the gimbal movement made me believe the drone was going upside down ;-)
My feeling is the hood won't alter RF because it's made of plastic. Plus the fact it comes from DJI's makes it even more... reliable ?

Seen that on phantoms (groups). Was it sunny ?
I think I recall it had something to do with the internal altimeter.
Oh. Wait. That was on the Bebop. But it was the altimeter.

Don't these send the waypoints to the drone beforehand ?
Anyway, the hood is made of plastic and other non conductive stuff. No reason whatsoever to alter RF performance.

So, that's a no brainer. I'm keeping my drones up to date AND am getting the chance to have them replaced with brand new ones.
