How not to ruin your drone batteries (with a smart plug)

DJI Mavic 2 Pro manual states: "Fully charge the Intelligent Flight Battery before using for the first time: “Balanced Charging: During charging, the voltages of the battery cells are automatically balanced “ It does not say you have to charge it 100% every time to calibrate. I also thought...

How not to ruin your drone batteries (with a smart plug)

DJI uses maximum energy content from the High Volt batteries, so that they fulfil the marketing hype for staying in the air as long as possible. Batteries can end up as the most expensive item if you abuse them. Eventually, all rechargeable batteries are doomed to become problematic, the real...

    Silence the controller

I don't use the normal controller and I havn't updated the Firmware (or App of the SC), so I don't know. I might end up putting sugru on the speaker exit to attenuate the noise.

Problem Flying Mavic 2 Pro with Luma Cube Lights Attached

Those carbon blades spin faster than the stock ones and are known to cause warning issues. Try the stock ones.

Problem Flying Mavic 2 Pro with Luma Cube Lights Attached

I used to make my own quadrocopters and I found that the centre of gravity was surprisingly important. Basically not like fixed wing, but if it is too much in the front the front motors take alot of power and the back ones take less power. This is not good for the whole control loop, the motors...

Polar Pro Gradient Filters (for M2P) came today- Physical first impressions

The upper sky has a nice blue to it, but it is not possible to make a critical comment without a before after comparison. You might want to tilt the gimble a bit, so that the horizon is not in the middle, but at 1/3. This invokes the 1/3 "rule", and will control highlights on the clouds on the...

    SD Card/s

Use a fast card reader to read the bird micro SD. The SC micro SD card I only use for screen recordings in difficult locations, in case the bird goes down and gets lost

    SD Card/s

I have a 64GB Sandisk with a V30 rating, in the SC and in the bird. If you film alot, you will need a bigger one in the bird. Test your micro SD cards with crystaldiskmark to check if they are not fake. A lower quality rating will cause issues in both devices

    Grainy photos

you will have to probably reshoot. If you saved the raw files, you can try to denoise. If you don't have an application to do that, and have a DNG, send a upload link and I can see how much it can be saved. There are plenty of short youtube videos that will teach you by example how to manage...

Mavic Air 2 and 2 Pro - Panorama photography

your JPG panoramas at 7 minutes into the video definately aren't great. I am also a bit dissapointed with my Mavic 2 Pro panos, but you may have more of an issue. Here an example of mine after sunset, 2 second exposures: thank you once again for your great videos The dark patch in my pano...

    Jerky video in yaw movement

I film in mp4. If you film in mov, in Apple Quicktime, you can change your time indicator (bottom left) to frames. There you can skip 1 frame at a time. This is for kinetik analysis a great tool. There you can see what the problem can be. Skipped or duplicate frames? Mixed images? Or is the yaw...

    Jerky video in yaw movement

I am also testing for yaw control speed and smoothness, and film results. -Benchmark your SD-Card speed with a program like CrystalDiskMark. V30 or U3 class is good enough -Does your playback program have a problem? Check this curent thread out...
