I would say yes it is! I just did this myself today actually. Nothing to do with being able to afford it as others have mentioned but for me I knew once I got the Mavic 2 I would most likely never fly my mavic pro again. Why not have money go towards the new one vs sitting in a closet doing nothing.

Pelican 1400 or 1450 works for this Here is a pic of the 1400 with mavmount. I'm replacing it with the 1450 for a bit more room for iPad mini and chargers.

Its the Lowepro Fastpack 250 backpack Foam is Pelican 1401 replacement foam I ordered from Amazon.

Lowepro backpack Pelican replacement foam fit perfectly inside.

I've found that holding the Mavic face down (similar to the second step of the compass calibration) the clamp slides right in.

If you're looking for more of a backpack, the Fastpack 250 is perfect. One thing I added, (can do this to the Slingshot as well), I ordered Pelican 1401 replacement foam off of amazon and it fit perfect into the Fastpack.
