I would say yes it is!
I just did this myself today actually. Nothing to do with being able to afford it as others have mentioned but for me I knew once I got the Mavic 2 I would most likely never fly my mavic pro again. Why not have money go towards the new one vs sitting in a closet doing nothing.
Pelican 1400 or 1450 works for this

I'm replacing it with the 1450 for a bit more room for iPad mini and chargers.

If you're looking for more of a backpack, the Fastpack 250 is perfect.
One thing I added, (can do this to the Slingshot as well), I ordered Pelican 1401 replacement foam off of amazon and it fit perfect into the Fastpack.
