    Hello from Chattanooga,Tennessee

Welcome. Get out there and fly every chance you get. That is the only way to learn how to fly.

Flying through the star on top of the town Christmas Tree..

And how can you maintain VLOS at night? Yes the drone has lights, but not visibile past at most a few hundred feet.

I was thinking exactly the same thing. One person breaking the rules makes the ones of us that follow the rules look bad to people who already think we just have drones to peek in peoples windows.

High School Football Stadium from 400 Feet

A few shots from 400 feet AGL. The first is one image, the second a composite to get a slightly wider perspective. Taken with MP2

    Death of a M2Z

How much did it cost for the boom truck? I can't imagine it was cheap!

Photo SHUTTER button on remote did not take photos

I can totally see that being the problem. I mistakenly assumed when I saw the screen change that it was the image being taken. So now I gotta get back out tomorrow, and see if I can overcome my weak shutter press. Thanks for the information. I am sure I can overcome this issue.

Photo SHUTTER button on remote did not take photos

Well, had my first interesting set of flights yesterday. Was out and about taking photos/video of flooding in the central iowa area. I was flying at 400 agl looking straight down and setting up photos and thought I was taking photos with the right side shoulder button on the remote. I would...

    Photos look like trash

It depends. I have found that once you get about F8, which is not the top aperture, the image starts to suffer from reduction in image quality. So I have regularly used ND16 while flying in full sun. With the ultra wide lens, I usually shoot around F4 or F5.6 and that still gets me a decent...

    Photos look like trash

Actually, what do you use for photo editing? I use lightroom and I have to manually choose the DJI lens in lens correction and the issue actually goes away. If I shot more video, I would want to make sure the software I used to post-process can handle the curving, but most I have heard about...

active track worked absolutely awful for me. why?

One way to rule out the sun as a problem is to increase the altitude and shoot more downward on you(or any subject). It looks as though it was tracking, but for some reason was not keeping up and with you starting to somewhat blend with the background of the hills, I can almost see it. But I...

    Treasure Barn

Great video. I wish I had an old barn like that to fly through and take photos in.

    RAW photo files

As a photographer, I would never consider a JPG for any paid job. I would shoot in RAW and edit the photo to my style and liking. I know many pro sports photos shoot in JPG as they typically are in non changing lighting and need to produce the images quickly for their clients. My clients are not...

    RAW photo files

You absolutely can edit JPG's, however the amount of data to work with is substantially less.

active track worked absolutely awful for me. why?

You can replicate it by stopping down on the F stop. The best feature on the M2P is the variable aperture. But anything over F8 suffers from softening due to diffraction. But ND's can be found for reasonably cheap, just don't go with bottom of the barrel ones as the glass quality will impact...

active track worked absolutely awful for me. why?

Thanks for the confirmation on the ND. I have friends who are pro droners, and they have had similar issues with overly bright scenes so that is where I was coming from. I look forward to the video. If it is like my friends issue, it was a wide open field and only the snow mobile was a different...
