Btw, I was an ET in the USN from '79-'86. Worked at Lawrence Livermore Nat'l Lab prior to hiring on at Intel. Best job EVER but I was contract and the work wasn't too stable.
Maybe you might know Ben Guissi? He worked at Fab 23 in thin films as an engineering tech and installs. He and I have been working together the last 5 or 6 years. He shut down F23, worked a couple of other jobs and came back to Intel to D1. And, yes, thanks. I'm quickly getting used to the retirement life. I now have ZERO stress and frustrations.
I read your post about working at FAB 23 in Colorado. I just retired from Intel last Friday (1/14). I worked my entire 28 1/2 years in dry etch working on plasma etchers and the last 5 installing them. I started in Santa Clara D2 and then transferred to D1 in Oregon in 2008. Glad to be on the sidelines now. Small world to see another former Intel techie. Have a good day.
