Also for you orientation. before taking off face you drone pointing north. Specially if your in a new place and don't know the area. I have a compass on my phone and always do this before I take off. helps to keep your bearings when flying somewhere new.

I don't think it matters on the drone itself but the battery's need to be carry on or you will have a problem. I took all my stuff in a back pack and just took out the battery's and my electronic stuff when I went though customs. They don't seen to care about the drone itself..

Just went to china and Thailand The only place they checked my batteries is when I arrived in china. I had 3 Mavic batteries in my wife's makeup bag and the charging cord.. I took it out of my packsack and put in the tray. They looked and let it go through. went Air China and Thai air

Just got back. You wont have any problem. Just don't fly in stupid places . Had no problems on 7 flights from Beijing to Phuket, Krabi, Bangkok.

Unless you know where to fly is hard to find a remote spot in Bangkok or Phuket.(Crazy busy) Somewhere on this site guys have posted the forms in English and Thai. Don't think you will have a problem bringing in a drone.
