    Remote ID Modules

I wanted to update -- I'm a dummy and this is correct. I was able to renew my drone's FAA registration without a Remote ID requirement. Once you go through the process, it asks if your aircraft has Remote ID Capabilities and you are able to check "No" and then move on. I apologize if I caused...

    Remote ID Modules

lol totally fair assessment. Sadly, I use my aircraft for work so I may miss out on income if that happens. I think I may end up with a Mini 3 or Mini 3 Pro body only and just use the remote from my MA2. Time will tell!

    Remote ID Modules

One thing I haven't seen anyone else post so I'm going to post it so people can plan ahead -- I'm in a pinch with my Mavic Air 2 because I bought it nearly 3 years ago and it's due for FAA registration renewal. When I go to the site to do this, I'm asked for the Remote ID number, which I of...

    Air range

I’ve had my Mavic Air since May last year and have only had one total disconnect from the controller while flying with my phone. I would get a bit of lag but when i changed to a Crystal Sky as my monitor, my signal issues ceased. Like a lot of folks said in this thread, you’ll lose VLOS before...

    Mavic Air and CrystalSky Monitor

Their support folks are strictly going off the compatibility list but if you look through the firmware changelogs, you’ll see Mavic Air is supported.

    Mavic Air and CrystalSky Monitor

I found a 7.85” version used on KEH and when I received it, the thing looked brand new. Definitely look around, some folks have sold there’s.

    Mavic Air and CrystalSky Monitor

The DJI Support people are wrong. They literally released a firmware to allow Mavic Air support last year.

    Mavic Air and CrystalSky Monitor

It works great with the CrystalSky. The only drawbacks are buying a mount for the controller (PolarPro Flightdeck or MavMount are best) and the updates to the DJI Go app are slow to follow on the CrystalSky. I have had a few app freezes with the Crystal Sky but I think that was due to the USB...

    Wind Gust? Gimbal Error?

This is a weird one but i had an issue like this once and what was happening is something was restricting the gimbal when I powered the drone up (in my case, I had it on a landing pad on uneven terrain and a little bit of the cloth of the pad wood restrict the gimbal when it did it’s initial...

    NEW Polar Pro rc mount

Got mine yesterday. It rules. I had the first generation Polar Pro CS Mount and hated the fact that with the 8” CS, I had to use the tool to tighten it.

    NEW Polar Pro rc mount

I placed an order for the PolarPro Flight Deck today and will report back when I receive it!

    CrystalSky recordings have lags.

I’ll let someone else chime in. It this is not normal, at least in my experience...

    CrystalSky recordings have lags.

I have experienced some video lag but no control lag when paired to my Mavic Air. I would check for any firmware updates or do a complete reset of the Crystal Sky. I switched from using an iPhone 8 and have had a much better experience with the 7.85” standard bright Crystal Sky, especially in...

    CrystalSky recordings have lags.

This is normal. The recordings on your Crystal Sky are from the wireless transmission and will include any lag / video anomalies that occurred during the flight’s broadcast back to your controller. Those videos should be used for reference only. The videos on your memory card will be better...

Is the Mavic Air good enough?

I own an Air and use it for both hobby work and paid gigs. I won't admit to the Air being perfect but will echo other sentiments here - for the price, you cannot beat it. Couple things - The gray color issue you're describing is definitely there and the H.264 codec, even with 100mbps, makes...
