An historic day in Port Edward this last Friday
as we witnessed the tanker MV Pertusola enter Porpoise Harbour on her way to the newly completed Pembina Propane Export Terminal on Watson Island.
The weather did not corporate but we flew in it regardless to document this special day
I produced this video as a tribute to the hard working men and women of our local longshoreman union. Today they are wrestling with the lines to load bundles of logs from log booms onto a bulk freighter for export. You got to respect their skills, walking around on the logs like that.
Here is a cool video for you all. We were able to film a heavy lift vessel come into Prince Rupert to transfer two hydroelectric turbines for the Site C Dam project. Over to a waiting heavy lift barge. From there they will be loaded onto a special truck and transported to the site...
