Thanks very much for the link, it's performance beats any other players I've tried.
BTW, the video regarding how to disable crapware...they must have changed it because once I declined it just proceeded to installation.

VLC flawless on my old i7 in 60fps or 30fps H265

IMovie will work with either, and others, even in HD.
