Drone makes first commercial delivery in The Bahamas
A drone successfully made a commercial delivery in The Bahamas last month traveling more than 50 miles over land and water in 28 minutes.
Probably using radar for obstacle avoidance. Also most likely has a human remote pilot.Over 100 MPH. That's one speedy drone. Too fast for obstacle avoidance to work in time and whatever it may hit surely will not see it coming.
There is no mention of OA, only geo-fencing that unassumingly keeps it out of NFZ's. The drone makers web page states: "We have created a platform for fully autonomous drone delivery through an intuitive, user-friendly operating system that anyone can use within 10 minutes." The scary parts are "fully autonomous" which implies there is no pilot in control and "anyone can use within 10 minutes" which implies no knowledge of flight regulations are needed.Probably using radar for obstacle avoidance. Also most likely has a human remote pilot.
