50 Mile Drone delivery

Probably using radar for obstacle avoidance. Also most likely has a human remote pilot.
There is no mention of OA, only geo-fencing that unassumingly keeps it out of NFZ's. The drone makers web page states: "We have created a platform for fully autonomous drone delivery through an intuitive, user-friendly operating system that anyone can use within 10 minutes." The scary parts are "fully autonomous" which implies there is no pilot in control and "anyone can use within 10 minutes" which implies no knowledge of flight regulations are needed.

This is the future. No human. Preprogrammed flight. Obstacles and other are available in the sectionals, which are updated in the drones firmware
As a crow flies is much faster.
For many items, this will solve the last mile dilemma.
Why isn't the USPS experimenting?

I am sure they will work out the bugs, as they are doing now with driver-less cars and trucks, and in the long run removing the stupid human will make things safer. Unfortunately, even very smart humans are more than capable of screwing up an autonomous system, just ask Boeing.
