About to buy IPad Air new latest gen

If it is the current iPad Air that you are looking at, it would be great. It has the A14 Chip, and the A10 and up Chips work well right now with DJI Flight Apps and have no issues viewing and editing 4K video. I have the Mini 5 and it’s a powerhouse with the A12 Chip.

I will also chime in that my iPad Pro 9.7" uses the A9 chip and has no issues with DJI Apps :) The Mini 4 also flies fine for most, although when it throttles for heat it may develop issues some report and it has the A8 chip

I use a new Ipad Air with my MA2 at the moment, the Ipad itself
works very well with no issues at all but........unless you intend to fly
indoors or outside at night don't bother because even on a dull
overcast day you will need SUPER POWER vision to see anything
with it's low nits value and gloss glass finish. I'm currently saving
for the Tripltek 7.........i'm fed up flying blind, the MA2 deserves more.

Thanks for the info. I haven’t bought it yet so Before I do I would appreciate any info of what IPad works best for viewing while flying my MavicAir 2. Thanks again for your input.

i'm no expert on this Sanjuaner far from it, i've only been flying
my MA2 3 months or so but what i've picked up from the experienced
pilots on here is that all of the Ipad models can't compete on viewing
outside because they just aren't bright enough so you get to much glare
on the screen. i struggle to see my air screen all the time even with a
sun shade and matt screen cover, in bright sun light you can't see a thing.
Ipads i think have roughly 450-600 nits of brightness where as the smart controller,
Tripltek 7 and crystal sky screens have 1000 and above nits of brightness.
I watched a video yesterday on here from a post on this very subject
about the Tripltek 7, if your wanting to buy a screen it's well worth a watch.

I liked the part towards the end (19:30) when he holds the mini and comments that it looks like it's turned OFF compared to the Tripltek 7, but it was on.

Good review video. ?
