After contacting Litchi regarding several failures of "pano" missions to complete and/or resulting in interrupted control of the Mavic (RC unresponsive and Mavic hovering in place until sport mode activated to regain control) their response and advice is as follows:

Hi,

Please follow these steps which should improve performance of your ipad and help make pano more stable:
- make sure there are no apps running in the background before you start Litchi
- make sure your mobile device is not in power saving mode (has various names on Android; called “Low Power Mode” on iOS)
- enable “Hardware Decoding” in the general settings (iOS only)
- disable Internet (for example switch to airplane mode) to prevent the DJI development kit to continuously send analytics data while you fly
- make sure the Histogram is disabled (camera setting)
- do not use screen recording as that will increase the requirements a lot
- on iOS, disable the setting “Cache Videos”
- make sure “Full HD Stream” is disabled in the camera settings (for Mavic Pro/P4 Pro/Inspire 2)
- make sure there are no interferences where you fly

Kind Regards,
Litchi

Hi Radio,
Wondering if following these directives helped out. Thanks!

I've never used Litchi but understand it's built on DJI's own developer framework so all the core functions should be the same code base and that it's all the extra features that Litchi have implemented that are either poorly coded or just far to CPU intensive for today's devices if you have to disable so many standard features to make it reliable.

I use DJI GS Pro on two different iPads and never have any performance issues

Is the GS Pro compatible with the Mavic? I thought not.

Because I am dense, can you clarify: GS Pro + iPad is OK for Mavic...
