Airplane mode

New to this site, new to drones, absolutely fascinated with the whole concept and sure I'll have lots of questions in the future, hopefully not to dumb. My question is if I put my phone in airplane mode will it effect any aspects of controlling my drone (mm ) ??

Only your ability to refresh/download/update the map view if you haven't cached them already ... have though seen people discuss this in relation to remedy connection issues RC-AC. Have always had my phone connected to the RC with the cable & not in airplane mode & haven't had any problems.

it will not make any difference to the controller and drone link, only for the reasons @slup mentioned above
