My dad was color blind, or at least thought he was, and always complained about it. I find that I am unable to correctly identify a color as green when it's some shade in between green and blue. I cant tell the difference between silver and grey. I once had a champaign colored car. I still dont know what color it was.

Is it just me, or do you also have trouble with color identification?

hi bro,

i have the same problem. i even went to a specialist to 'confirm' that i was.
1stly, if not wrong, it affect 1 in 10 males. so u are very not alone.
its being pass , however woman are less likely to be affected even if they have it.

colour blindness or i rather call it colour deficiency ( sounds less serious) lol, if divided into many diff kinds, diff colour, normally green n red are a grp, ( thats mine) , thing is i have no issue with colours till im almost 35yo, (or rather we dnt know it) , we are brought up to tell diff colours we SEE, we are ot blind..lol.
Key is, for my case , the green that i see, should be diff 'green' from other sees, of coz without me know all those years.
* just to add, it normally runs in the 'guys' in the family, as my specialist mention normally woman doesnt 'feel' it, however it might pass on their offsprings..

u can simply do a very simple test bro. click the link and read the numbers inside, no way to cheat, its either u can see it , or u cant. it will determine what kind of colour deficiency u have.

im getting one of these glasses, it claims it block out certain lights and reveal 'true colour ' for people like us.
Thks goodness it not that expensive, abt usd90 for a pair.

Lastly good news is, god is fair ! According to studies, people with colour deficiency normally have a perfect eyesight. im one one them ..LOL.

i strongly encourage u and ur dad to do that simple test ,
god bless u bro.
will update whether that glasses work for me, after i get it. im trying to find a way to get it off ebay, most dont send it to where i am..

GOOD LUCK BUDDY!

Thank you so much for the info! Unfortunately, wont help dad because he passed away, but hope it can help me.

gosh.. sad to hear that bro.

i just hope this info can help as many people as possible.

u know, in snooker game, i always shoot the brown ball thinking its red and get foul for that when young ( and i blame it on the reflection on the table lights causing the 'confusion'..lol.

then again, im still very happy that i have colour blindness, compared to many who are real blind, we are so fortunate. :)

cheers bro! good luck to us all

I agree with that. Theres always someone with a worse malady than we have. Got to be thankful for that.

Blue/green color confusion is very common among human males.

I used to think that way bro, but if someone having confusion, that IS colour deficiency.
There is no in between area. Either u r or u r not.
Most people dnt discover this themselves unless they take the similar colour test as my above link.
Of coz, if u been to a specialist, more tests will be carried out to determine which colour deficiency and what level.

Worst case is u can only see black n white.
Thats total colour blindness.

Nice info pal,

Frankly speaking to a person like me, its doesnt matter whether these fancy names means.

Key is even a simple orange, which we know is orange in colour, whether is it the ‘true orange colour ’ that any one other person without colour deficiency sees.
What is interpret in my brain, might not be the same as a person with normal colour vision sees, this is my point.

Then again, just glad that im still fortunate to have my sight sense, still way better than many i guess.
At least i can fly my bird with VLOS. Lol [emoji23]
