The Tower of Anthousa has a square floor plan and is known by the Turkish name "Koula". It is located on the slope of Ymitos near the monastery of Asteri in Anthousa, Attica
The history of the tower is not known. There is no information on when it was built. He is certainly not Byzantine and probably not Frankish. His style is reminiscent of the Ottoman period. This version is also supported by the name "Kula".
It was probably one of the many Turkish kouledes built by the Turks until the 18th century throughout Greece, either to supervise their tsifliki or for the residence of agades or to serve military purposes.
The tower has been reported in ruins since 1722.
