Anyone built their own tablet/viewing device?

Has anyone built their own tablet specifically for drones? I have seen guides to build tablets and it doesn't look too difficult. If someone could build one with enough power, and somewhere find a touch display that puts out 2000+ nit, it could be a game changer.
Before I get bashed, I understand that it probably would not be the most compact thing as a display that bright requires a hefty battery, but hell, it only needs to last as long as a few flights.

I think the hard part, which DJI obviously had problems with too, would be keeping it cool. 2000 nits is super bright and puts off a lot of heat. I would definitely be interested in seeing what people come up with.

Im using an atomos ninja flame with an hdmi passthrough for my Ipad. Its 1000 nits and has great scopes for exposure as well as time lapse for the mavic, it also allows to record in 1080 60p using the prores codec
