Wednesday the US Army banned the use of all DJI drone products and software citing cyber vulnerabilities. Which begs the question:

What the hell is DJI collecting to cause such alarm??

This is a tad concerning.

This is why I liked Yuneec's Typhoon H. The craft is off line. You fly it without transmitted logs and networked connection. The only problem...DJI product is better.

Does anyone think that a back door was intentionally left open to disable NFZs etc?

I would be concerned if I were military working in sensitive areas and flying DJI products. You're pretty much spot lighting your location if you connect to DJI's servers.

Is US army really using dji comercial drones or some adapted versions? Is this ban for US army personell using dji drones for private uses? This all seems strange. Why would any army allow use of some company commercial products without thorough check or customisation?
