Batteries and battery hub question

So the charging hub has a USB port.
DJI Assistant doesn't recognize it.
I couldn't update the batteries with it.
So what's it there for?

It's used for installing firmware updates on the charging hub. If DJI ever releases an update, they'll post it on the Mavic downloads page and you'll need to download a separate program to install the firmware update.

Thanks - I gotta say it seems kinda dumb you can't use it to update the batteries. You have to use the remote and powered up mavic to update them.
