There is an area on Mission Bay here in San Diego where there is at least one very aggressive sea gull darting at both my Mavic and my Phantom. In one instance, I was trying to avoid them and a gull actually hit my Phantom. In this video you see a gull having just made a close pass to 'harass' my Mavic: Password: 71119

I went out tonight and got swarmed by swallows. They just circle, don't attack. Even at 150 feet they follow it around.

When attacked by birds while flying just go up on the joysticks to get away from them, they will leave you alone.

I have had that issue, usually more an issue in the spring when protecting young, then this late in the summer.

Climb away...

I had a hawk crack a prop on my MP about seven months ago. I was very, very lucky the prop didn't break & I could get it home. It was VLOS across a deep canyon but no way I could have hiked to find it if it had crashed.

Everyone says to "CLIMB AWAY from birds!"
