Hello everyone,
2 days ago my mini 1 crashed into the sea. I was flying in line of sight some 50m from the shore when it suddenly dropped straight into the sea. I managed to recover the drone at a depth of 10-12m and is structurally OK, but the electronics might be gone.
I opened the drone up, soaked in distilled water, then isopropyl and dried it for 48h in rice on +30°C
I don't know exactly the cause of the crash, but one of the two battery cells is blown. There's literally a hole through the positive terminal and the BMS is fried. I'm not sure if it caused the crash, or it shorted in the sea.
I'm currently travelling light with only 1 (dead) battery and want to test if the drone is still OK before sourcing a new battery. Is there any way to test if the main board is OK without battery? Should anything happen if I just connect it to USB? Any lights on?
Thank you for your help.
