Can you leave ND filters on Mini camera when not flying

I have been flying my Mini for 9 months and almost always use an ND filter. I have never been comfortable with holding the camera while installing the ND filter. Recently I have left the ND 16 installed full time -- even when the Mini is stored in the case. During initialization startup, the camera goes through the motions fine and no error signal.
Question: Is it OK to leave the ND filter installed permanently?

BTW i have the Freewell ND for my MM but these hold only from the top on the lens. I'm always afraid it might detached with a gust of wind !! Anyone noticed??

I have Freewell ND8 on my MM all the time and no problem for me.

Me too. I have NDs from Freewell and I leave them on when storing the drone.
