Cannot download original videos from app

My videos get split if they are longer than 9:04 in 1080p60 due to the limitation of Fat32. But when I try to download the original files in the DJI Go 4 app on my iPad mini 4, the first part of the split file does not have that option. What's worse is that if I try to download the second part of the split file, I get the first part downloaded instead. Even more weird is that the first parts of the split files don't show up at all using an SD card reader with the iPad mini 4, but they do on a pc. What gives?

That doesn't make sense. They're just files when it comes to transfers.
Well, not quite. Windows just treats them as files. Apps and phone OS does interpret file type and tends to ignore file types it doesn't recognize. Granted both files should be the same type.

Note too that there are cache video files on the device. I have come across corrupt cache files when the SD files were OK. Most of the time the app crashed but I think sometimes the cache recording was unusable even without an app crash.
