Central Coast Flying Spots

May I please ask for recommended flying spots along the Central Coast?

My wife and I have been Hwy101 road tripping between the Bay Area and Los Angeles for decades now, and often stop at our alma mater in San Luis Obispo. So what are anyone’s thoughts on getting aerial pic/video around the following:

- Pismo or Avila Beach
- Montana de Oro
- Morro Rock and the surrounding bay
- Mount SLO (above Camp SLO)
- The Cal Poly “CP” on the hill
- The Cal Poly campus
- Moonstone Beach and the uphill view of Hearst Castle
- The numerous vineyards along 101
- Any other spots not listed above?

So where around SLO would be a good place? I go to cal poly and just got one but dont know where to take it to avoid trouble.

Try around areas that are away from towns and parks.
Back country roads. Private properties,with permission of course. Use Kittyhawk for airspace authorizations
Open areas off of roads..... canyons. Hill tops. There’s lots of places. Just use Kittyhawk app. Try it out. Follow the fly safe rules. Go fly...
