Asked this over on the Mini 4 forum, but got no responses Thought I ask again here. Mods feel free to delete or chastise me if I'm making a faux pas.

Is there a way to alter/edit previously saved way point hyperlapse missions. I'd like to edit them later to change the interval (length). I can do it when I set up a new mission, but not when I load a store mission.

What am I missing?

Also where (device and file locations) are the hyperlapse waypoints stored. I can find regular waypoints but not the hyperlapse ones.

Thanks!

I don’t think DJI has provided that functionality. If the hyper lapse mission storage location could be found it would be possible to alter those missions. However I don’t think anyone has found where they are stored. I have looked but I have been unable to find them. Hyper lapse missions are most likely stored in an SQLite database. If you can find where that is, let us know.

A possibility... enable Journaling on the filesystem on an Android phone running Fly. Start Fly, snapshot the journal, create a hyperlapse mission, quit Fly, snapshot the journal again and compare.

The difference will show any new files, and any database files that have changed.

Might need a phone thats been rooted.

If you don't know what file system journaling and/or rooting is, then move along... this is WAY too technically deep.

Thanks. I have a tech background and at one time I was writing Linux kernel modules and a hardware abstraction layer for android. So I can root a phone. Not sure about journaling but could probably figure it out.

However I'm using a RC 2. Not sure I want to get that deep on a new toy.

There is a YouTube video showing how to create your mission on the PC, then replace the file in the DJ drone to use it. He tells where the file is and what it is called. This video may answer all your questions.

Cool. In the event you do want to use Journaling for anything in the future, a tool called 'tunefs' is your friend 👍🏻

Thanks but that video has nothing to do with what is being discussed in this thread. That video shows how to create a mapping waypoint mission then copy the KMZ file to the device running DJI Fly. This thread is about hyperlapse missions. Hyperlapse waypoint missions are not stored as normal waypoint missions. Their storage location is currently unknown.

My Bad. I misread it and was thinking the waypoint file might help with the issue.
