I'm not sure I understand. I know I have to register past a certain weight limit, but it's my understanding I can still use it for recreation.
I see you're in Aus. Are the rules you're referring to based on US FAA?

Hi Kevin, welcome to the forum. Any UAV over 250 grams must be registered and the pilot must be licensed. If you buy an air 2 you'll need that certificate to fly.
