Color grading, an image totally transformed...

I thought this image was good before the color grading, but after I edited it....

Yes the image was ok before you transformed it. After, it is horror.

All depends on what you grade etc, what it's shot using (log and the likes), how many bits (8/10)

Doing a basic s curve on it may be all that's needed if you haven't shot in log, if shot in log then you need to balance all the colours up properly. So all depends how it's shot in the first place.

Yeah, Mavic / Air / 2 all flown, it really is down to how you want it to look. The air shoots pretty good on it's internal profiles, so just a little tuning to get to where I wanted it etc. It really is personal opinion though, and changing it for whatever you want to do with it, whether that's try match the colour profile of a DSLR or something else.
