Compass and Wi-Fi

Just received my Mini. A couple questions I have not easily found the answer to. Does the compass on your phone and any in your apps affect the Mavic Mini at all? Also if so, should they be set to true north or magnetic north. One of my apps has this option. Second question, should you turn off Wi-Fi or Bluetooth when flying your mini? Thanks

Compass on the phone does not matter. It is not required to turn off Wifi or BT.

You won't get a phone call, which will interrupt the Go app.

I always put my phone into flight mode. The first time I flew my drone (in the back garden) after a couple of minutes I got the message “temporary loss of connection” and the video feed went blank. The connection never returned but I could still fly the drone.

I brought it down but could not reconnect, turned the drone off and on and all was good and took off again. A few minutes later exactly the same thing.

Following advice on this forum I started putting my phone into flight mode and have flown 3 or 4 times since and it hasn’t happened again.

Fingers crossed it was that, but it could have been something different on that day of course.
