Controller Device Name displayed in my IP router

Wondering how to change the name my IP router displays. The name supplied from the Smart Controller when connected via Wifi to the router. The current name supplied from the smart controller is a whooping 24 character long thing. "Android-then alpha numeric 16 characters" for a total of a 24 character name. teh router does no like anything over 20 characters.

I expected to find something under the settings menu - no luck

You can change this name using
Settings at Go4 app

Normally an Android phone will have something in the Settings / System that will allow you to edit the device name. On my phone it's in; Settings / System / About Phone / Device Name ... I've not played with the Smart Controller, but if it's running Android, I'd expect you to be able to do something very similar.

In the Go 4 app you can change the name of the aircraft not the Android device itself.

No luck under settings / system / loads of stuff there but no way I have found to change the device name

Hoping there is a way

It's very new kit, so there may be no alternative than to lodge a support question with DJI ...

Can you hook up to a PC? Might be able to do it that way.

Gave that a try
All I see it can do is import pictures / videos or update firmware

DJI was on no help
Guess it is not possible at this time
