Glad I found this site!
Mavic is on the way from DJI.
Looking forward to a new hobby.
I've had some flying lessons before and lots of experience navigating so Im hoping to make the transition smoothly.
Having read many posts and watched videos Im taking this seriously and step by step. Id love to slap the battery in and take off but I want to enjoy approaching this hobby systematically and do it right.

Any suggestions for tutorials or technical guides?

Might want to check the FAA B4UFly app (B4UFLY by Federal Aviation Administration
B4UFLY on the App Store ) as I thought Dana Point was really close to Camp Pendleton.

Looking forward to see videos from the area if ifs ok to fly as it's a great area!

Thanks Skrems. I did check out the no fly zones in my area. I I want to geek out on the rules and regs before I get my drone. Want to do it right! That said there are some good spots in my area that I'm looking forward to exploring.
