Disconnected Mavic Air

I was flying my Mavic Air drone today at the park. Someone disconnected my drone and then landed it near my landing pad.

Has this ever happened to you?

I installed a WiFi analyzer on my phone to detect interference.

I don’t think anyone else was involved in this. Disconnects are common, and the drone returns automatically. That’s what you experienced. If this keeps happening, you may want to check your WiFi channels for the best signal before you launch.

With no offense meant to the OP, this is the oddest interpretation of a disconnect and a subsequent RTH I have ever read.

Even disconnecting the USB from the RC won't trigger signal loss RTH. Only disconnect/signal loss between RC and AC, which would include flying too far out to maintain signal.

Yep. I inadvertently knocked my cable free, got the disconnect, panicked, but someone flew mine back for me, too. I was like, “thank you sweet Jesus!” I know better now. Mind over matter. I was thinking ...please come back...please come back...please come back... And it did.
