DJI assistance 2 vs assistance 4

[Frustrated]

Is there a difference for these with a mavic air. Also when flying, my map on my tablet only shows a white screen with home and drone. When I watch other vids here, I see roads, lakes etc. Am I doing something wong. Pretty much a newbie. Live 3 miles from an airport so can't get much flying time in. Thanks.

As far as the map click on it and should go full screen. Top
right box click it and should look like this, on IOS anyway .
Choose what you want then click map and
will go back.

Might could be you need to download local maps to get more screen detail. That's the process with the Smart Controller for the Mavic 2 P or Z anyway.

Not real sure how to do that. I am pretty much in the middle of nowhere USA if that makes a difference.

You can search on how to cache maps (download them) to your device ahead of time. Either by cell phone or WiFi, depending on device. The Smart Controller I'm using must connect with WiFi (but one might also use their cell phone as a hotspot to obtain WiFi too.

A bit frustrating, the selection box for maps on the Smart controller, is wide and narrow, would be much better if it were more square . . . it still works though, and you can "tile" them.
