DJI care refresh, valid if bought from another country?

Hey all, I bought a DJI care refresh code from Ebay for my new Mini; yet the code came as a scanning in english language; I don't live in a english speaking country so apparently the code is from a foreign country. Now, on DJI website it's written: "No, at the moment, DJI Care Refresh only works within one coverage region. DJI Care Refresh and the corresponding product must be purchased from the same country or region."
This means a code bought from e.g. UK wouldn't work in e.g. Germany, right?

Is there any way to verify where the code comes from? and if I were to try to activate a "foreign" DJI refresh, would it be refused or would it be accepted but be actually invalid?

I have the same experience, I bought the drone in the Netherlands but stay in Asia, the drone is now 1 year old, don't get problems in recent year, 2 weeks ago I got the opportunity to extend for another year from DJI but because I'm not sure in case of, I have not used this option.
