DJI CS 5.5" on my Mavic Air Controller

just picked one up yesterday and mounted it on all three, Mavic Pro, Air and DJI Spark controller.
Of course Air's controller needed a little mod
LOVE the screen!

stock Mavic Air controller's handles don't have the opening on the bottom wide enough to fit the metal piece that the CS mount screws on.
so what i did is, having the Spark controller available, which happens to have the same handles as Mavic Pro controller, so i took those handles off of it and mount them on Mavic Air controller.
now, you could just bind (sync) the Spark controller to Mavic Air because that works. they are the same controller (C2), but i like the fact that controller says "Mavic Air" on top of it

Have you actually tried binding the Spark controller to the Mavic Air ?

It's not designed to work

How do you fly the Spark with the CS if you have swapped the jaws over to the MA controller ?

Yes i have and it works perfectly fine.
i don't fly the Spark with CS, only Mavic Pro and Air hence why i took the arms off of the Sparks controller and put them on Air's controller.

Guess you’re lucky to have the Spark to get the phone grips from.
Has anyone else tried to make the slots wider on the Airs RC?
I’m thinking about it but wondering if it would weaken the phone grip

It's not making the slots wider but longer, you need to measure accurately otherwise the mount will slide around.
