after my first flight with the FPV drone, I noticed there was a small paper wad inside the gimbal cavity. While trying to dig it out with a toothpick, it fell in between the cracks into the front of the drone so I took off the front cover to retrieve said paper. to my surprise, when the front cover came off, I noticed the hood scoop was non-functional?! to be fair, I never did look closely at it and thought that covering the scoop inlet was some kind of mesh to prevent bigger debris from entering the drone but it's literally completely blocked.

perhaps it's just news to me and everyone else knew about it?

Very odd, perhaps the designers are getting too much freedom at DJI.

Maybe they thought they'd need more ventilation, but after production / testing it appeared it wasn't required.
Vent then just blocked to prevent unnecessary dust / moisture ingress.

I will simply just say that this subject for the DJI FPV would be more appropriate in our sister forum,
FPV Drone Pilots, just saying. ;)
