I recently bought a pair of the DJI Goggles Racing Edition, and when using them the previous setting of 4K in the setup reduces to 1080 in the Mavic when recording. Is this the way this is supposed to function, or is there a way to have the Mavic still record in 4K when using the goggles? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Yes that can be confusing. It is actually the quality setting of the Goggle’s video feed that determines the video recording on the Mavic itself.

Normal setting is 720p 30 FPS in the goggles and this allows all recording modes.

HD is 1080p in the goggles but only 1080p 30 FPS video recording.

Smooth is 720p 60 FPS in the goggles and 1080p 60 FPS recording.

Thanks Mike. Will give that a try. In the goggles, it says that the video feed may be interrupted if the mode is changed but will see how this works. Too bad it can't feed 1080 to the goggles at the same time as shooting 4k. Maybe a future feature or maybe it's just too much computing power required. Thanks again.

Yea it says in the goggles since it will have to switch video modes. I always try to set everything before takeoff.
