DJI Mavic 3 vs Air 2S for Photography

One would expect that the M3 photos would be marginally better, and that's what I see here. To be honest, there isn't enough difference that couldn't be easily overcome in Photoshop. A lot would have to depend on the intended use. If you're planning on making a 40"x60" print, perhaps it might make a difference to the photographer/viewer.

The important thing to know is that the strength or weakness of any digital camera is detail capture at distance. While the M3 has better sensor stats, the wider angle of view puts it farther away for the same image area, so you would then have to bring it a bit closer than the Air2s to subject for the same cropping, which would provide an advantage. The closer your get the more detail you capture.

Your statement is not correct. Compared to Air 2S, Mavic 3 provides a narrower field of view (84° vs. 88°), because its lens is not as wide (24mm vs. 22mm).

As result, you need to fly Air 2S a little closer to the subject for the same cropping, not Mavic 3.
