"Downlink data connection lost" once every 30 seconds, lasting 2 seconds

Bought a new DJI Mavic Mini this week, first tried some indoor flights without SD card and it kept disconnecting (but reconnecting within a second or two). Thought this is because I'm very close to it.

Took it outside today, again without SD card and recorded direct to phone (at 720p). The longest video I have is 26 seconds (interestingly there were 3 videos that's 26 seconds long) before it disconnects. It has never failed to reconnect though, is this normal?

Well, I see it is warning about no SD-card. I don't fully recall but it may REQUIRE a card. I'm not sure if it has any internal storage memory to record anything.

Is the transmission channel mode set to "auto" or "manual"

If its manual you might have previously selected a channel with a lot of interference




Also try refreshing the remote controller and drone firmware

SD card isn't compulsory, but between the SD card warnings it's the "data loss" warning that I am asking about.

Without inserting the SD, you can directly record 720p to your phone.

Thanks, I haven't tweaked any settings so it was on "Auto". The drone was actually manufactured in June 2020 so already updated to the latest firmware (but just in any case I did check it before flying - all of the RC, drone and the flyspot data).
