Dog vs drone: Could a 'sky shepherd' be better at mustering than a sheepdog?

There's been steps with this before, YouTube has videos of sheep breeders using drones for herding, just an interesting push by one of our universities to compare stress in the sheep when comparing the use of a working dog or drone.

Love the Top Gear SOH, Jeremy did pretty well in that clip.
"in 25 mins I've mastered sheeping" ?

Is that the M2E setup ?

Have seem the drone with speaker and barking, the crew here say no difference in barking or just the drone noise.
Will be really interesting if they manage to develop software to actually autonomously herd sheep where they are wanted, even more so if 2 drones could work together simultaneously.

Awww yeah, they are highly intelligent dogs, they know what's going on around them.
We have a red collie, she'd love to get a flock of sheep to do her little staring out thing.
