Eagle attack on my Mavic 2 Zoom.

This morning I was attacked twice by an eagle.

This morning I was attacked twice by a wedge tailed eagle. I used evasive action and survived to fly another day.

Not a wedge tail – maybe a ‘black kite’ or ‘little eagle’.

There are way more kites around than wedgies. The kites can be seen everywhere waaayyyy up high and they will come in for a look

But, I've seen footage of a wedgie attack and it was all over rover. It flew from a perch in a tree and straight at the drone. Boom!

Reminds me of the joke where an old farmer who had never before seen a hang glider, took a shot at it as it flew over his house

He later told his mates at the pub that he wasn’t sure if he hit it but at least he scared it enough that it dropped the bloke it was carrying

Ive heard this a bit. i suppose its because the drone can rise pretty quickly compared to a bird but many kites here in Oz fly several thousand m agl so ....

Pretty annoying when this happens. Few weeks back I was flying and 2 ravens came in and started marauding my drone. Had to leave the area.

It's a KITE as depicted from the shape of the tail feathers
Whistling Kite, shake a tail feather I believe
