I NEED YOUR HELP, your thoughts, your explanations about the choice I should make etc! THANKS FOR YOUR HELP!
My choice are a MacBook Pro 15
MacBook Pro - Space Gray

Intel Core i7 quadricœur de 7e génération à 4,2 GHz (Turbo Boost jusqu’à 4,5 GHz)
8 Go de mémoire DDR4 à 2 400 MHz
SSD de 1 To
Radeon Pro 580 avec 8 Go de mémoire vidéo
Magic Mouse 2
Magic Keyboard - Français
iMac 27 pouces avec écran Retina 5K

OF COURSE I WILL BUY MORE RAM FOR THE ONE I WILL CHOOSE BUT NOT AT APPLE STORE.

Both machines will be capable of editing 4K video.

If you need to be portable go with the MacBook Pro, but you're not going to find any displays pretty much ANYWHERE as nice as the iMac 5k display.

Also FYI the MacBook Pro you listed above is the 13 inch not the 15 inch.

If you're shelling out the money for a new MacBook Pro, I'd go with the 15 inch with discrete graphics card if you can swing it.

Sorry, I misconstrued the link for the text.

Thanks for your reply, Yes I was planning for 15".Btw did you check the external screen I linked for the MacBook Pro too?
I am still questioning myself between the choice of the IMac and MBP.
It s difficult in the scale.

An other question, can you use the IMac 5k as external screen?
And does the IMac vs MBP'have better graphic card?

So better go for the IMac where I can update Ram
I know the Mac Pro is really old but it was a great machine Do you think it can handle big 4k documentary?
