Establishing Return To Home setting

I have a new Mavic Pro. Is it necessary to set Return To Home before each take off? Mavic uTube instructional videos advise to set RTH before every takeoff. When taking off, I receive "RTH has been set" message each time automatically.

Yes.
Otherwise it may try to RTH in the last place it recorded. Always check that RTH is recorded correctly on the map.

I always manually set it with motors running prior to takeoff but as the app tells you *check the location on the map* and the distance display on the RC to make sure its correct. (Make sure its a good GPS lock and its had time to stabilise before doing it).
