I haven't timed how long it takes to charge the Mavic Pro remote using the USB port on the power brick (when you're not charging a battery, which DJI recommends). But I have noticed that when I charge it via one of the USB ports on my iMac or with a 12 watt, 2.4 amp Apple charger, it charges noticeably more quickly--not to mention, you can charge it at the same time you're charging the batteries. Can any of you electrical-type guys confirm that the brick provides less power?

I doubt so, would have to be measured to be sure.
Yeah, that's what I figured. I own a nice Fluke multimeter, but I don't know (nor care THAT much) about which/where the contacts that provide the power are on a USB connector.

The Mavic 'brick' delivers only 1A to each of the two usb ports (I tested) The spec's say 2A but then says 'total' to confuse everyone, so yes, the brick charges slower than say a 2A apple iPad charger vs the 1A apple phone charger.
