Yesterday I had to travel from my home in Hastings up to Chelmsford for a meeting.
I took my MPP with me just in case. It was just showing signs of dawn breaking as I was approaching the Dartford bridge and so I detoured and had a fly as dawn was breaking.
I’ve heard the Thames is a helicopter route but Dartford is so far out of town and the NATS app showed it was ok and I made sure I kept 150m from the bridge at closest approach.
Anyone know if there are any issues flying here I wasn’t aware of? These are iPhone screen grabs from the streamed HD feed:
